When I started the 23 things I was in the dark, but once I started it it wasn't that hard, in fact I think I've knew or done a lot of the activities while completing my degree at RMIT, and through friends I started things like Facebook, blogs, Skype etc.
No doubt about it I'm more preapred to help someone if required as part of my job in the Library, in fact I helped a few people over the past week to complete some of these activities.
Learn can't be a bad thing and learning about these new technologies keep you up to date with what happens in term of new technologies.
So overall it wasn't a bad experience and I think I enjoyed most of the activities.

Skype, MSM and Meebo
One of my lecturers at RMIT told us about Skype, basically you use Skype to talk over the Internet all around the world and to mobiles as well, it will save you heaps if you do international calls a lot, this is my case, I do call my family overseas very often but to give them a call or use the internet is basically the same in term of price.
I've never been interested in MSM I think this technology applies to the younger audience I'm happy just by having Facebook, which I don't use much either.
I've used Meebo on a training course but somehow we can't open Meebo from our workstations, so I couldn't play with it at all.

Vodcast and Podcast your favourite video or TV show
I often the World Game on SBS, and the update on football (no soccer!), I loved to see how the socceroos are doing, and of course my favourite soccer player, Harry Kewell.
Also I enjoy At The movies now on ABC, I've been watching this show since it was available on SBS, Margaret and David, don't often agree on their movies review but they give you a good insight about them before you go to the cinemas and see it for yourself.
These days you can 'Vodcast" this program and watch it whenever you want.

Library 2.0 technologies
I read the article about Encore and the way 2.0 technologies are changing the way users interact with library catalogue, more than ever library users have more flexible ways to turn around ways to find information to accomodate their needs. For instance Ebscohost 2.0 platform gives the user more flexibility when doing a search dividing the search results in chunks of information easy to read and sort, the users can drag articles to one side of the panel and save it until next time. Really like it, and it looks so neat.
Delicious tags
I created a delicious account I had a look at some fotoshop editing tips and found some very good and easy to follow tutorials, so it was quite useful. Delicious can help you to follow tags, keep and add more as you need.
